Notes of geraniums and white roses amidst a delightful confectionery glimpse of orange and raspberry liquorice with hints of rose peta. While the wine is completely dry it has lovely notes of fruit sweetness reminiscent of white strawberries and nectarines. The palate moves swiftly with a mouth caressing creamy texture suggestive of lemon curd. The wine finishes with seductive sweet ruby grapefruit tinged with refreshing Campari notes.
A bouquet of intoxicating jasmine and citrus blossoms weave through sunkissed white nectarines. A delicate spice appears and a tiny glance of slightly mineral tinned apricots reveal themselves. The palate is alive with all the loveliness of a luscious tarte au citron. Fresh white nectarines dance with barley sugar and there are whispers of a silky minerality and gentle spice.
Gorgeous aromas of nectarines, saffron pears and custard apples are entwined with floral notes of honeysuckle, jasmine and lemon myrtle all of which are caressed by a gentle spice. There is a citrus crispness and textural creaminess to the palate reminiscent of citron tart and lemon delicious pudding. Green mango and gold kiwi fruit also feature; the finish and lingering length is all about pears.
The overwhelming floral and herbaceous notes are reminiscent of walking into a really amazing florist’s. There are also beguiling fruit notes of passionfruit, yellow peaches and caramelised pineapple and a sense of creamy vanilla. An orange sherbet bomb explodes and releases a wine with complex layered textures and flavours including a bouquet garni made from sage, oregano and thyme which entwines with fresh apricots and unripe white nectarines. The flavours linger on.
Aromas of lifted tropical fruits including pineapple, guava, gold kiwi fruit, and passionfruit. The palate has wonderful weight and a creamy texture providing structurally complex characters and a zingy acidity that lifts these exotic vibrant fresh tropical flavours.
Intriguing aromas of tantalising saffron pears, just ripe apricots, nutty macadamias and zesty lemon sherbet dance around a quirky slightly saline nub. There are intense and textural citrus notes on the palate which try to dominate but glimpses of tropical fruit including pawpaw and champagne melon shine through and pineapple lingers and lingers.
The nose is reminiscent of an ancient overgrown orchard alive with the aromas of green grass, windfall apples and lemons and strewn with wild flowers. Charming suggestions shine through of organic dried apricots and almond praline. Golden fragranced sweet lemons weave with a herbaceous yet floral lemon myrtle to endow the luscious mouthfeel. The wine is gorgeously textural and slightly creamy bringing with it a lemony golden syrup that evolves into the lingering flavour of delicious French pastries.
